Director Omar Lopez and the General Commander of the Carabinieri, Gen. Teo Luzi, yesterday signed the first-ever Memorandum of Understanding between NCIS and the Arma dei Carabinieri at Carabinieri General Headquarters in Rome, Italy. The unprecedented MOU will strengthen bilateral collaboration on countering transnational organized crime, counterterrorism/force protection activities, and criminal investigations & operations, as well as intelligence sharing, while also opening joint training opportunities for personnel in both organizations.
