NCIS routinely seeks individuals who possess strong academic credentials, outstanding character, and a high degree of motivation for the NCIS College Internship Program. College internships with NCIS offer students a unique perspective into our agency, our mission, and what it takes to serve in an elite federal law enforcement organization with global locations.
The NCIS Internship Program is a dedicated hands-on experience designed to provide educationally related work assignments for students in a paid or unpaid status. NCIS Internships last approximately10 weeks for up to 40 hours a week. NCIS currently offers three separate internship programs annually: Spring, Summer and Fall.
All college and graduate school students who have a GPA of 3.0 or higher, are more than one year from graduating and are current U.S. citizens are eligible to apply. Eligible students can apply for an internship at NCIS Headquarters or any NCIS Field Office. Currently, NCIS paid internships are only offered at NCIS Headquarters, located on Quantico, VA. NCIS unpaid internships are available at all domestic NCIS Field Offices and also some overseas Field Offices. This opportunity is open to all academic backgrounds. NCIS strives to place candidates in internships that match their background, studies, and interests.
