Carolina Field Office


The Carolinas Field Office is located aboard Marine Corps Base Camp Lejeune in the Jacksonville area of Onslow County, NC. Camp Lejeune occupies an area of 153,439 acres. The base is home to a population of nearly 150,000 active duty military members and their dependents.  It also supports approximately 50,000 retirees and civilian employees.  The area of responsibility for the Carolinas Field Office includes all of North Carolina and South Carolina.

In providing criminal investigative expertise to Department of Navy personnel stationed in North and South Carolina, the Carolinas Field Office conducts investigations of felony crimes involving Navy or Marine Corps personnel, installations, or property. Such crimes include, but are not limited to, acts of terrorism, espionage, wrongful destruction, theft of ordnance, product substitution, homicide and drug trafficking. The Carolinas Field Office is one of the busiest in terms of active investigations and operations.
