What's New in the DONCAF World 

 
Effective 30 June 2006
 
SECNAV M-5510.30 of June 2006 has replaced SECNAVINST 5510.30A as the manual for the Department of the Navy (DoN) Personnel Security Program (PSP). SECNAV M-5510.30 and CNO 5520 Ser 09N2/6U871220 of 12 September 2006 details the adjudicative guidelines and other important updates regarding the PSP. Please read this document and refer to it often for all questions and concerns regarding the PSP.
 
e-QIP
 
The Electronic Questionnaire for Investigations Processing (e-QIP) became mandatory on 30 September 2006. All DOD Components will transition to e-QIP through the DoD Joint Personnel Adjudication System for submitting SF-86s to OPM.

Beginning 1 October 2007, OPM will reject all paper SF-86 submissions unless a waiver has been authorized by Components’ Senior Security Officials. Beginning 1 December 2007, these waivers must be approved by the Deputy Under Secretary of Defense for Counterintelligence and Security.
