Singapore Field Office
The Singapore Field Office is located
in the Republic of Singapore; a modern city state approximately
3.5 times the size of Washington, DC area with a population
of 4.48 million. The Singapore Field Office is a composite
of five NCIS offices and five integrated Force
Protection Detachments (FPD),
serving the largest piece of the Pacific Command
(PACOM)
Area of Operations (AO) in greater Southeast
Asia. As there are no DoD bases in the greater Southeast
Asia AO, the NCIS Singapore office is considered an
Expeditionary
Field Office.
NCIS Singapore’s primary customers
are Commander Seventh Fleet (C7F), Commander U.S. Pacific Command
(PACOM), Commander U.S. Pacific Fleet (PACFLT), Marine Forces Pacific (MARFORPAC),
Commander Logistics Group Western Pacific (COMLOGWESTPAC),
and the Navy Region Center Singapore (NRCS). The Singapore Field Office’s geographic
area of responsibility is the largest within NCIS, encompassing
Antarctica, Australia, Bangladesh, Bhutan, Brunei, Cambodia,
Diego Garcia (BIOT), Fiji, India, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia,
Maldives, Myanmar (BURMA), Nepal, New Caledonia, New Zealand,
Papua New Guinea, Republic of the Philippines, Singapore,
Solomon Islands, Sri Lanka, Tasmania, Thailand, Timor-Leste (East
Timor), Vanuatu, and Vietnam.
