NCIS Honors Intern Program
The NCIS Honors Intern Program is a dedicated hands-on experience designed to provide educationally related work assignments for undergraduate and graduate college students who have a minimum 3.0 GPA in a non-pay status. Based upon their background and experience, interns are assigned to functional areas such as criminal investigations, information systems, government relations and public affairs, administrative services, computer crimes, economic crimes, strategic planning, personnel services and operations, criminal intelligence, and forensic sciences.
Effective 28 September 2017, NCIS is not accepting applications for intern assignments until further notice.
NCIS Wounded Warrior Intern Program
The NCIS Wounded Warrior Intern Program is for individuals who are part of the Department of Defense (DoD) Operation Warfighter (OWF) Program. They are waiting to be medically retired or return to active duty. While they are in the medical board process, they have the opportunity to participate in an internship where they can learn valuable skills to help in their future employment. Individuals must have a current Secret security clearance or higher, favorably complete an NCIS suitability check, and can intern for a minimum of three months.
